THE WIZARD OF OZ MUNCHKIN SQUAD

An exciting introduction to musical theatre! A fun mix of singing, dancing, and acting, Munchkin Squad cast members will participate in ensemble numbers with the principal cast of The Wizard of Oz Young Performers Edition (YPE).

Rehearsals: Wednesday 4:30-5:30pm beginning January 7 and one Sunday rehearsal March 1, 12:45-2:15pm
No rehearsal conflicts accepted for Wednesday, 3/4
Tech Week Rehearsals: March 11 or 12, 5:15-8:45pm
No tech week rehearsal conflicts accepted - cast members must be available for their scheduled tech rehearsal
Performances: March 13-15 and 20-22
No performance conflicts accepted - cast members must be available for all scheduled performances

The Wizard of Oz will be double-cast. Squad members will be cast in either the Emerald Cast OR the Ruby Cast. Each Squad member will perform in a total of FOUR performances - two performances the weekend of March 13-15 and two performances the weekend of March 20-22.

Squad call times for performances are typically one hour before the show begins.

Munchkin Squad families are required to volunteer at least 4 hours for this production or to buy out the required volunteer hours at $15 per hour. Volunteer opportunities include helping make costumes, set painting, set building, providing supervision at dress rehearsals and performances, ushering at performances, etc.

Auditions will not be held for Munchkin Squad. Enrollment is limited but ALL registered students will be cast in this production!

Tickets:
Tickets for The Wizard of Oz will be available via our online box office in January. Munchkin Squad cast members will be assigned to the Emerald cast or the Ruby cast after the first rehearsal and cast lists will be sent to all cast families before tickets go on sale.
